I am a Licensed Psychologist (GA License PSY002400) with a PhD in Clinical Psychology and 20+ years of experience providing psychological services to children, adolescents, and adults, with a wide range of problems/diagnoses. Services provided across this time includes therapy with individuals, couples, families, extended families, groups; psychological/educational assessments; presentations/consultations on various topics; and supervision of psychology students and professionals. Prior, I served as a school psychologist and teacher in the public school system.
I have extensive education, training, and experience in cognitive-behavioral (CBT), psychodynamic (including time-limited approaches), humanistic, and family systems theories and therapies. I utilize an integrated approach (consistent with a human systems meta-framework perspective), allowing me to draw upon and use the best of various models/techniques, as deemed appropriate based on client abilities, needs, and the collaboratively determined goals of each client.
As a therapist, I act as an empathically in-tuned leader, who maintains a therapeutic environment in which you will feel valued and secure enough to collaboratively explore and get in touch your strengths and the constraints (at various levels of the human system) that are limiting your functioning. The overall goal of intervention is to remove the constraints and facilitate personal and interpersonal growth.
My services are provided through a combination of online (i.e., via way of secure live interactive videoconferencing) and in-person (in-office) sessions. In addition to providing services to Georgia residents, I also provide online services to PSYPACT practicing states in the U.S. and Canada (APIT, Mobility #7277) and provide online services to Florida residents (Registration #TPPY879). My online services and practice management is provided through CounSol.com, a secure management company, utilizing HIPPA-compliant, secure format with federally approved encryption.
